Louisiana Statutory Amnesty

Beginning September 23 through November 22, 2013 there will be a statutory amnesty. It will cover all taxes administered by the Department of revenue except motor fuel taxes and certain penalties. Applicable years are taxable periods that began before January 1, 2013 and for taxes due prior to January 1, 2013 for which the Department issued notices between January 1 – May 31, 2013. Penalties will be waived 100% in 2013, 15% & 10% in 2014 & 2015 respectively. 50% of interest will be waived only in 2013. There is one special provision, participants waive right to protest or initiate judicial proceeding.
