Oregon Welcomes Marijuana Sales Tax

Oregon – Since it became legal on October 1, 2015, sales tax had not been required for Oregon Marijuana recreational users, However, January 4, 2016 the state now requires a sales tax of 25%. This tax does not apply to people who purchase medical marijuana, only recreational buyers will be affected. The new sales tax is projected to generate 2 to 3 million for the state of Oregon in 2016.
